iLuminate teamed up with Fitz and the Tantrums for a one-of-a-kind performance on “America’s Got Talent” on Wednesday. Watch below!
iLuminate competed on “AGT” during season 6 back in 2011. Week after week, the act, which combines glow-in-the-dark lighting with synchronized dancing, dazzled the judges and viewers at home. The group made it to the finals, where they placed third.
Since then, the dance troupe has gone to have much success with performances across the globle. And, interestingly, they were invited back to the “AGT” stage now in season 11 when none of the current judges were even on the panel five years ago. That just goes to show the long-lasting impact iLuminate has had.
Clearly, they’ve made an impression on Fitz and the Tantrums, too. The “AGT” collaboration featured the band performing its song “HandClap” as the iLuminate dancers did a stunning routine that was choroegraphed by two notable “So You Think You Can Dance” names. iLuminate posted on Facebook earlier Wednesday, “Stoked to be performing choreography created by Phoenix and Pharside of Academy of Villains on America’s Got Talent tonight! You will not want to miss this.”
And the Fitz members were so pumped for the gig, they actually took over the NBC competition’s Snapchat to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the show. Check out full video of the “AGT” performance below, and good luck getting the song out of your head!
