Are Gwyneth Paltrow and Winona Ryder still feuding? A new report claims their “grudge goes on” years after a “falling-out.” Here’s what Gossip Cop uncovered.
“Gwyn & Winona’s Grudge Goes On,” reads a headline in this week’s Star, which writes, “Can two epic enemies bury the hatchet? Stranger things have happened, but not for these two.” According to the magazine, “Almost two decades after Winona Ryder’s falling-out with Gwyneth Paltrow — rumor has it she stole the lead in Shakespeare in Love from Winona, and went on to win an Oscar — the Goop guru is trying to be pals now that Winona’s Netflix series, ‘Stranger Things,’ is a hit.”
A so-called “friend” is quoted as saying, “Winona didn’t hear one word from her for years — it’s just so typical that Gwyn is reaching out now that Winona is popular again.” And the tabloid asserts, “the still-bitter 90s star wants nothing to do with her old frenemy.” Adds the outlet’s alleged tipster, “Gwyn is such a phony — where was all this interest when Winona was doing voice-overs for Frankenweenie?”
Gossip Cop, however, is told there is no new dispute between the two women. A rep for Paltrow exclusively tells us the story is “just plain made up.”
