Zendaya and Mario teamed up for a duet of “Let Me Love You” on Thursday’s episode of “Greatest Hits.” Watch the performance in the video below!
“Let Me Love You” came out in 2004 as the first single from Mario’s second studio album, Turning Point. It went all the way to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and Mainstream Top 40 charts. At the time, Zendaya was just 8 years.
But thanks to “Greatest Hits,” ABC’s summer music series, the two stars got to collaborate on a new performance of the old hit. As Gossip Cop has reported, each episode of the show features famous musicians paying tribute to the best songs from the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s. This installment was focused on music that came out between 2000 and 2005.
Other duets on tonight’s episode included Pat Monahan and Kenny Loggins performing “Calling All Angels” and “This Is It,” while Lee Ann Womack and Rachel Platten took on “I Hope You Dance” and “Stand By You.” Kelsea Ballerini, who co-hosts the show with Arsenio Hall, also performed hits from Maroon 5, Shania Twain, and Britney Spears.
“Greatest Hits” paid tribute to the early ’90s last week, as Gossip Cop reported at the time. That included Bonnie Raitt and Andra Day teaming up for a duet performance, Seal belting out his anthem “Kiss From A Rose,” and Little Big Town covering the classic Oasis hit “Wonderwall,” and Boyz II Men performing “Motownphilly.”
Next week, Ballerini and Hall will emcee the live season finale that looks back at all the eras. Gossip Cop will have full video of Zendaya and Mario’s “Greatest Hits” duet below!
