ABCCBS drama 'BrainDead' returns to a new night after a long break, earning a series low in the process.
Big Brother topped ABC's Sunday game show block last night, though the weekend move for summer drama BrainDead proved to be anything but helpful.
At 8 o'clock, after a 7 p.m. hour of repeats, CBS posted the night's best showing among adults 18-49 with Big Brother — a 1.9 rating. It went head-to-head with a dipping Family Feud on ABC. That, down 13 percent from a week ago, averaged a 1.4 rating in the key demo.
A steady $100.000 Pyramid matched its lead-in, while Match Game posted a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. The lingering strength of ABC's 9 and 10 p.m. hours, stacked largely against repeats, helped the network lead the night in the key demographic.
CBS drama BrainDead only managed to pull a same-day score of a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers in its first Sunday outing. The struggling freshman was shifted from the weekday schedule to avoid a conflict with coverage of the RNC and DNC conventions.
