The Revolutionary War drama will wrap its run in 2017.
The war is almost over for AMC's Turn.
The cable network has renewed its Revolutionary War drama for a fourth and final season. The 10-episode final batch will return in 2017. Producer and showrunner Craig Silverstein will remain in business with AMC with a new two-year overall deal where he'll develop and produce new projects for the cabler.
Season three of the period drama averaged 1.2 million total viewers and about 600,000 among adults 25-54. The series ranks among the top 10 for affluent adults 18-49 and is a top five series in ad-supported cable.
The drama is based on Alexander Rose's book Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring and is fully owned by AMC. Jamie Bell stars.
The decision to wrap the series comes after AMC this past weekend aired the series finale of fellow period drama Hell on Wheels. The cabler's scripted roster consists of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Halt & Catch Fire, Better Call Saul, Into the Badlands, Humans, Preacher and Feed the Beast, the latter of which awaits word on its future.
