‘The Bachelorette’ Men Tell All Recap: JoJo Fletcher Confronted By Chad, Luke And Chase

Bachelorette Women Tell All Recap July 26 2016

(ABC)

The “Men Tell All” episode of “The Bachelorette” had the eliminated men sparring with Chad and JoJo Fletcher getting grilled in the hot seat. After the men faced off with Chad, JoJo tried to explain herself to brokenhearted bachelors Chase and Luke, who earlier opened up to Chris Harrison about their feelings for the Bachelorette now.

It started with the guys recalling meeting JoJo for the first time, and then quickly turned into several men commenting how awful and obnoxious Chad was, as clips backed up their beefs. After that, there was video from the show of mostly Alex disparaging Derek. That segued into the guys calling out Alex for also being too intense and aggressive. Naturally, the conversation returned full circle to Chad and how rude and, at times, scary he was.

While the other guys were already on the stage for the “Men Tell All” special, it was time then to bring out Chad. Harrison then showed clips of Chad, first starting off as a decent guy to JoJo before morphing into a monster. Chad began by saying all the other guys were “so fake, and that “everything out of these dudes’ mouths were just bulls**t.” Not surprisingly, a number of the men took issue with what Chad was saying. At one point, a ticked-off Nick B. got up from his seat, took off his jacket, and rolled up his sleeves, as he complained about having to hear the “same egotistical bulls**t that we had to listen to all season.”

What we also learn is that, after he was kicked off the show, Chad went out with Grant and Robby’s ex-girlfriends. He explained that he wanted to show the women what a good guy was really like, alleging that the two other men had dumped their girlfriends to appear on “The Bachelorette.”

Chad then took on Alex, who he called “super annoying,” argued with Derek, gloated about dating’s ex Hope, and claimed Jordan only was on “The Bachelorette” to be “famous.” After that, Harrison showed the footage of Evan and Chad’s fight, and it appeared that as bad as Chad is, Evan started the altercation by pushing him.

Harrison asked if Chad regretted anything? But he didn’t seem to budge. Harrison next questioned what his recently deceased mother would have thought of his behavior, and Chad responded that she’d find it “hilarious.”

It was then time for Luke in the hot seat. Luke said he was “shocked” when JoJo sent him home, and wished he had told her earlier that he loved her, but he wanted to make sure that she was first comfortable with his family. He admitted he “still love[s] her, but time has past and he’s getting over the pain. Luke also noted he’s “still single” and “optimistic about what the future might hold.” Nevertheless, he said he was a “little nervous” to see JoJo on the show.

Chase, seated next to JoJo, asks her why she simply couldn’t have sent him home after dinner instead of humiliating him in the Fantasy Suite, but the Bachelorette defends herself by saying she wasn’t clear abut her feelings until then.

Despite his time before, Chad wasn’t done blasting the other guys. In front of JoJo, he said, “Everyone else knows Robby broke up with his girlfriend days before filming in order to be on the show with you.” “And we both know that Jordan is a liar, cheater whose own older brother won’t even talk to him,” he added. For her part, the Bachelorette just offered, “Oh, I could go off right now.”

Chase was next to sit in the hot seat. After footage of him falling in love with JoJo and then being shockingly sent him home from the Fantasy Suite, Chase said he was blindsided. “I had no read on that whatsoever,” he told Harrison and the studio audience. He said it “still doesn’t make sense” to him, but even though she was the first woman he told, “I love you,” Chase doesn’t regret having said it.

When JoJo joined the guys, she told Harrison she “teared up” watching the memories with the eliminated men. She also talked about never expecting to care for so many of the men. When asked about what happened with Luke, the Bachelorette revealed “it was an instant connection” with him, but “something” happened on the last day, and said she “struggled” with saying goodbye, wondering whether she “made a mistake.”

Luke then asked if things would have been different if he had been more direct about saying he loved her? JoJo felt it was too “hard to say,” but when he finally told her he loved her, the Bachelorette acknowledged that she felt “overwhelmed and to “stick to what my gut was telling me.”

Chase was next and wanted to know why she let him have a Fantasy Date when she could have eliminated over dinner. In the end, though, Chase told her he was happy for JoJo and still care for her.

Chad then chimed in, “Everyone else knows that Robby broke up with his girlfriend days before filming in order to be on the show with you.” He then sniped, “We both know that Jordan is a liar, cheater, whose own older brother won’t talk to him.” Rather than replying to Chad, JoJo said he’s “not even worth my breath,” and expressed that he’s just a guy seeking “attention.”

At the end, a number of the guys asked her questions, and even Vinny’s mom in the audience, who thought she made a mistake but the main part was then over.
