The 2016 Teen Choice Awards will honor the best in entertainment on Sunday. Check out the winners list below!
Awards at this year’s ceremony will be handed out for film, television, music, sports, fashion, and digital. There’s more than 70 categories in all, and the nominations were revealed in “waves.” As Gossip Cop reported, during each “wave,” fans could vote online in select categories.
Justin Bieber leads everyone with a total of 11 nominations. Interestingly, for the title of king or queen of social media both Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are nominated, as well as such other stars as Lady Gaga, LeBron James, Miley Cyrus, and Bieber. Another notable category is Choice Summer Movie Actor because Chris and Liam Hemsworth are up against each other for their respective roles in Ghostbusters and Independence Day: Resurgence.
Unfortunately, not all the honors are presented on air. And in recent years, there’s been complaints that the awards are “rigged” or “fixed” by producers. Nevertheless, plenty of stars will be happy to add the show’s signature surf boards to their trophy collections.
And the biggest award of the night will be going to Justin Timberlake, who will receive the first-ever Decade Award. Gossip Cop will be updating the winners list live as each category is announced during the ceremony, which will be co-hosted by Victoria Justice and John Cena at 8 p.m. Eastern.
