Miley Cyrus is NOT playing Tiffany Trump on “Saturday Night Live,” despite a wholly made-up webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this shamelessly fabricated story. We’re told there’s “no truth to it.”
When the daughter of presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at the Republican National Convention last week, many people on social media pointed out her resemblance to Cyrus’ Hannah Montana character. And now according to HollywoodLife, Cyrus is interested in impersonating Trump on the upcoming season of “SNL.”
A so-called “source” tells the site, “If she was offered to portray [Tiffany] on ‘SNL’ she would do it in a heartbeat. She thinks it would be hilarious.” The outlet’s supposed insider then goes on to oddly note that Cyrus “doesn’t really get the comparisons” and “thinks it’s bizarre.” So why exactly would the singer think it’s “hilarious” if she “doesn’t really get” it?
Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Cyrus, who exclusively tells us the singer has never discussed spoofing Tiffany Trump on “SNL,” and there’s simply “no truth” to the site’s story. We’re told HollywoodLies, as it is known, completely concocted the entire story, including Cyrus wanting to impersonate the GOP presidential nominee’s younger daughter. Of course, Gossip Cop has repeatedly pointed out how HollywoodLife makes up tall tales in general and about Cyrus in particular, so it’s reprehensible practices come as no surprise.
We recently called out HollywoodLies for manufacturing an untrue story about Cyrus getting relationship advice from Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Gossip Cop has also debunked the webloid’s numerous false pregnancy stories about Cyrus over the years. This latest report about the singer is just another example of how the site makes up lies.
