Lindsey Vonn had a wardrobe malfunction during a red carpet appearance on Thursday. It had nothing to do with her ex, Tiger Woods, who wasn’t in attendance. But that’s not the way a certain site is spinning it.
Vonn attended the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium. She wore a stunning blue dress that was just a few shades lighter than the blue carpet. But when posing for photos, the high slit of the dress inadvertently left her underwear exposed.
It was a pretty routine celeb wardrobe malfunction. Style mishaps happen. But this is RadarOnline’s headline: “Getting Tiger’s Attention? Lindsey Vonn Flashes Underwear In Thigh-High Slit Dress.”
Of course, the fashion faux pas was accidental, and had nothing to do with trying to get Woods’ “attention.” The webloid even goes on to contradict itself. After sensationally suggesting that the wardrobe malfunction was some kind of stunt, it’s said, “Either Vonn didn’t notice or she handled the mishap like a pro, as she seemed unfazed.”
So, which is it: Was Vonn purposefully trying to get Woods’ “attention” or was she largely unaware of the underwear display? But RadarOnline still saw fit to connect the golf player to the situation even more, writing, “Woods may be eating his heart out after seeing his ex’s latest appearance!”
Seriously?! Again: Vonn having a wardrobe malfunction has ZERO to do with Woods. And the outlet STILL tried to further tie the two together by regurgitating a quote from one of the skier’s post-split interviews, and asking readers, “Do you think Vonn is better off without him?”
Well, Gossip Cop has no doubt both Vonn and Woods would be “better off” without this story. It’s clickbait-y enough to make a photo gallery of a wardrobe malfunction, something many places, including Gossip Cop, has been guilty of doing. But to turn it into a story about an ex-boyfriend is ridiculously sensational, and in this case, entirely inaccurate.
