Lindsay Lohan apologized on Tuesday for publicly exposing her private drama with fiance Egor Tarabasov. The actress explained why she called out Tarabasov on social media, and also gave an update about her relationship.

As Gossip Cop reported, Lohan accused Tarabasov of cheating on her with a woman she referred to as a “Russian hooker” in an Instagram post on Saturday. Later that night, cops were called to the couple’s London apartment after Lohan and Tarabasov got into a physical fight. No arrests were made, and the actress boarded a flight out of town the very next day.

As Gossip Cop also noted, Lohan wrote an Instagram post on Monday asking that she and Tarabasov be allowed to “solve our personal matters” privately, even though the actress herself brought the matter to the public’s attention. But in a follow-up post on Tuesday, Lohan admitted she messed up by advertising her relationship problems. “I am sorry that I’ve exposed certain private matters recently,” wrote Lohan. “I was acting out of fear and sadness. We all make mistakes. Sadly mine have always been so public.”

The actress added, “I have done a lot of soul searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have. Social media comes with the territory of the business and the world we now live in. My intentions were not meant to send mixed messages.”

In regard to her and Tarabasov’s relationship, Lohan revealed, “Maybe things can be fixed. Maybe not. I hope they can.” She concluded, “But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant. Life is about love and light. Not anger. Thank you to those who stand by my side.”
