Kanye West and Calvin Harris are NOT collaborating on new music together, despite an inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim.
According to E!, the two artists are considering teaming up. A misinformed source tells the site that Harris “wants to make some music with Kanye down the road,” and the feeling is supposedly mutual. Of course, Harris recently went through a tense breakup with Taylor Swift, who’s on pretty bad terms with West and his wife Kim Kardashian.
But a seemingly more reliable insider now tells TMZ there are no plans for a collaboration anytime soon. The source notes the Scottish DJ is aware that working with the rapper “would play like a serious diss” to his ex-girlfriend, and he wants to avoid stirring up more drama.
Additional insiders tell the outlet that West and Harris have never even had any discussions about the possibility of making music together, as the two “rarely speak at all” and simply don’t know each other very well. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Swift’s enemies and ex have been wrapped into an untrue report together. Gossip Cop recently busted RadarOnline for falsely alleging West and Kardashian attended a party with Harris in an effort to disrespect Swift, but the premise of that tale was flawed since West didn’t even go to the bash.
