Justin Bieber “Friends” With Convicted Sex Offender Claim NOT True

Justin Bieber is NOT “friends” with a convicted sex offender, despite an outrageously sensational story designed to make the superstar look bad. Gossip Cop can reveal what’s going on.

Bieber had a random run-in with Jeffrey Jones, who starred in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as the dean of discipline. The singer posed for a photo with the actor at a restaurant, and posted it to Instagram with the caption, “Ferris buellers day off.” The pic, which can be seen at right, was clearly inspired by the actor’s role in the film. Jones, however, is not exactly held in high regard these days, as he plead no contest to child pornography possession and soliciting a teenager for child porn in 2003. A registered sex offender, he was later arrested twice in 2010 for not updating his status information.

Jones’ criminal past and Bieber’s entirely innocent photo led RadarOnline to exclaim in a headline, “Bad Boys! Justin Bieber Pals With Convicted SEX OFFENDER Jeffrey Jones.” The site writes, “Justin Bieber has friends in low places — including the sex offender database!” But despite calling its article an “exclusive,” the webloid actually acknowledges, “It’s unclear why Bieber and Jones were spending time together.”

And yet RadarOnline still saw fit to call them “pals” and “friends.” But they’re neither. Bieber simply ran into an actor he recognized from one of the most iconic movies of all time. And, given that he was just 9 years old during Jones’ original case and doesn’t carry around a police database, he obviously was unaware of his sex offender status. To instead make it seem like Bieber is knowingly buddies with a sex offender is just wrong.
