Justin Bieber did not refuse to do a “sex scene with another guy” for a proposed film titled Uber Girl. Nor did the singer ask that the scene undergo a “major rewrite,” despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct these claims. In fact, we’re told there’s “no truth” at all to the story.
According to an article published on Tuesday in the New York Post, which blared with the headline, “Justin Bieber refuses sex scene with another guy,” the papers alleges the singer was “offered the role of a young pop star in ‘Uber Girl,’ a movie treatment making the rounds in Hollywood.” There’s one hitch, claims the publication: Bieber allegedly “wants a major rewrite.”
The film’s co-writer Pete O’Neill tells the tabloid, “He won’t take the part unless the sex scene with him and one of the male backup dancers is taken out of the final script.” There are scant other details in the report other than the screenwriter claiming Bieber also “wants to cast Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Kiernan Shipka.”
Let Gossip Cop come to the rescue here. While Bieber has appeared in movies before, mostly related to his tours, he is not in talks or making any demands about scenes in Uber Girl because he is in no way connected to the film. A rep for Bieber exclusively tells Gossip Cop there’s “no truth” to the New York Post story, and talks about him being in that movie “never happened.”
For the most part, the paper has a fairly good track record when reporting on Bieber. However, Gossip Cop had to correct the tabloid a couple of years ago when it wrongly claimed Bieber was spending $1 million a month and allegedly on the verge of going broke. Much like that story, which was a total bust, so is the current article which has inaccurately tied Bieber to the movie Uber Girl.
