Jennifer Garner does NOT have a baby bump, despite new speculation that she’s pregnant. Gossip Cop can bust the story.
A RadarOnline headline published on Monday reads, “Jennifer Garner Shows Off Burgeoning Bump – Is Her Divorce From Ben Affleck Off?” At the start of the accompanying photo gallery, it similarly says, “Forget the divorce papers, could a baby be on the way instead for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck? The actress displayed a possible baby bump while out and about in Los Angeles on July 24.” The site has no actual sources to back up its speculation, and instead relies on a series of paparazzi photos that supposedly show Garner with a “fuller stomach” and “possibly [a] baby bump.”
But there’s two tell-tale problems with this story. First off, RadarOnline previously claimed Garner had a “suspicious bump” and was possibly pregnant last November. Gossip Cop, of course, accurately debunked the allegation, and time has proven us right.
The webloid even ignored that inaccuracy when claiming anew this past May that Garner was pregnant again, and an announcement would be coming “very soon.” Here we are two months later, and Gossip Cop was once more right that the actress was not expecting and would not be making any such announcement. RadarOnline conveniently failed to mention that wrong tale in its new pregnancy piece, too.
Second, what the outlet does do here is regurgitate its untrue claims that Garner’s dad told them she was “back” with Affleck and the “divorce is off.” But as Gossip Cop pointed out last month, the star’s father never actually made any such statement. And if it were true, why would RadarOnline now ask in its new headline, “Is Her Divorce From Ben Affleck Off?”
Because the site will do anything for traffic, regardless of accuracy and consistency. So, here’s the truth: Garner and Affleck’s divorce is not “off,” and hasn’t been. And she is not sporting a baby bump. While the estranged spouses are on relatively good terms, there simply isn’t a baby on the way.
