Gwen Stefani invited a bullied fan on stage at her Florida concert on Wednesday. Check out the video below!
The singer was on stage at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach when she noticed a sign in the audience. Pulling it closer to her, she read aloud, “My son was bullied from 1st to 5th grade.” At that, Stefani exclaimed, “What?!”
She continued reading, “He would come home every day upset, but he would go to his room, listen to your music and smile.” And that was all it took for Stefani to tell the boy in the audience, “Get up here right now!” The child was lifted on stage and cried as Stefani hugged him, posed for photos, and told him encouraging words.
After the fan went back to his mom, Stefani said she’s had a lot of good moments in her life, but “that was one of my favorites.” And on Thursday, the No Doubt frontwoman retweeted footage of the encounter, writing, “King and I cry so hard when we saw this last night! #musicisagift #notolerancefor bullies Gx.”
She also posted additional video on Instagram, where she wrote, “About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world — last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers.” Watch below!
