Exclusive: Michael Lohan Blasts Daughter Lindsay’s Fiancé: He’s Jeopardizing Her Sobriety

Lindsay Lohan's father wants her to just come home.

In an exclusive Skype interview with Access Hollywood on Tuesday, Michael Lohan addressed the actress' tumultuous relationship with fiancé Egor Tarabasov, including recent reports of a heated argument between the couple in London over the weekend.

"I was blindsided," Michael told Access, when asked how he reacted to Lindsay's reported allegations that Egor had choked and strangled her, according to a video published by British tabloid The Sun

"It was really really distressing," he added of the ordeal, claiming that Lindsay had called him to say that Egor was "beating her up," in addition to taking personal items like "pocketbooks," "expensive watches" and "some paintings" from their apartment.

"I mean, that's not right," Michael said. "It's like adding insult to injury."

Lindsay appeared to speak out publicly in a series of now-deleted social media posts, which at the time accused her 23-year-old beau of cheating on her with PA5H clothing line owner Dasha Pashevkina.

As previously reported, Dasha spoke exclusively with Access Hollywood over email on Monday and denied Lindsay's claims, and said in a message shared on her Instagram page that she intends to press charges for defamation of character after the actress referred to her as a "Russian hooker."

Dasha also defended Egor, with whom she's been friends for five years, telling Access that the business heir "has never been violent, period."

As for Lindsay and Egor's future together, Michael said he doesn't know if their engagement is still on, but what he prioritizes most is her safety – and sobriety.

Michael claimed that Egor is a possible negative influence on Lindsay, whose past struggles with alcohol and drug abuse have been highly publicized over the years.

Furthermore, Michael told Access that, as far as he knows, Lindsay hasn't fallen back into her destructive habits of the past.

"I mean, most people would have relapsed. They would have sought to go and drink or get high or something," he said. "She's been sober every time. Very upset of course, but very sober when she spoke to me."

Moving forward, Michael's message for Lindsay and Egor is simple.

"Get back to the states. Get back here, where you have your family," he said. "You have your support system and we will do everything in the world to protect you and try to get you more help if you need help. I mean, I'll do everything in the world."

Michael told Access he has repeatedly attempted to contact Egor's family in the midst of the drama, but claimed they "haven't even had the respect to return one phone call or text."

Access Hollywood continues to try to reach Egor, and reps for Lindsay have yet to respond to our request for comment.
