The Democratic National Convention continues in Philadelphia on Tuesday, and Gossip Cop has a live stream available online. Watch day two of the 2016 DNC below!
Tuesday’s theme is “A Lifetime of Fighting for Children and Families,” which will largely focus on the humanitarian work of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. The night’s big name speaker is former President Bill Clinton, but there will be many more notable politicians, celebrities, and public figures also taking the stage.
Hollywood stars Meryl Streep, Elizabeth Banks, America Fererra, Lena Dunham , Debra Messing and Tony Goldwyn will be speaking from the podium, as will House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
In a special program called “Mothers of the Movement,” the moms of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland, and other young black victims of violence will address the crowd. There will also be a videotaped message from former President Jimmy Carter and musical performances by Alicia Keys and Andra Day. These are just a few of the highlights from the second day’s jam-packed schedule.
Also on Tuesday, Clinton is expected to officially accept the party’s presidential nomination. Day two of the DNC is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Stay tuned to watch the 2016 Democratic National Convention in the live stream below!
