Ariana Grande does not have her “sights set on Justin Bieber” now that she and dancer Ricky Alvarez have split, despite a made-up webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this piece of fiction. We’re told the claim of Grande wanting to date Bieber is “wrong” and “stupid.”
According to the repeatedly disgraced Celeb Dirty Laundry, a “Bieber connection” with Grande has “been swirling for some time now.” Rather than pointing to specifics to back up its rumor or providing insight from an alleged source, the webloid simply throws out that there may be an upcoming “Bieber hookup” and fans of both the “Sorry” singer and Grande are “practically salivating at the thought of seeing the two canoodle on the red carpet at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.” No, they are not.
The entire story was manufactured by CDL, a site that has very little credibility, based on its history of provably false claims. While it’s true that Grande and Alvarez have broken up after a year of dating, she is not pursuing Bieber. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to her, and we were unequivocally told the webloid’s concocted story is “wrong” and “stupid.”
After having busted an absurd number of bogus stories from the blog, Gossip Cop is not surprised by the falsity of the latest tale. A little more than a year ago, we busted the disreputable site when it wrongly reported that Bieber caused Grande’s split from Big Sean. We also corrected the blog when it inaccurately alleged some time ago that Bieber and Selena Gomez were back together. Neither of those fabricated claims were true, as witnessed by the passage of time, and similarly the latest article about Grande now setting her sights on Bieber is also completely off-base.
