The Democratic presidential candidate elicits a signature "Yas" from Ilana Glazer as she makes her entrance.
How do Hillary Clinton's campaign headquarters smell to Broad City's Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson? Like power and "no bullshit."
Ahead of the Democratic presidential candidate's hyped cameo on Wednesday's episode of the Comedy Central series, the network released a teaser for fans on Super Tuesday, Part 3.
In the clip, Glazer brings Jacobson to the Clinton campaign office where she has been working and the pair marvel over the setting and its proximity to Clinton — "She's walked on these floors, she's breathed this air," says Glazer — and then in walks Clinton herself.
The candidate gets a slow-motion entrance, complete with two winks, as the co-stars lose their minds, repeating Glazer's signature "Yas" and shaking their heads in excitement.
"Sorry, we are just so excited!" says Glazer, prompting the response from a smiling Clinton: "It's alright, just take your time."
Despite its high-profile air date amid the 2016 election race, the episode was written about a year ago, before stars and creators Glazer and Jacobson knew if Clinton would be on board.
During their recent panel at SXSW, the comedians said the intention of the episode isn't to make a political statement. "She's an icon," said Jacobson. "For these girls, being around someone like that is not an everyday thing." Season three also sees guest spots from Blake Griffin, Alan Alda, Rachel Dratch and Tony Danza.
For Clinton, who shot the cameo in December, this is her second attempt in two weeks at reaching female voters through TV women. On March 10, Shonda Rhimes teamed up with Scandal's Kerry Washington, How to Get Away With Murder's Viola Davis and Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo to endorse Clinton in a minute-long ad that aired during ABC's "Thank God It's Thursday" lineup.
Clinton's Broad City episode airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Comedy Central. Until then, watch the teaser below.
