The two reality competitions square off Monday, bringing their networks respective wins with total viewers and the key demo.
With Dancing With the Stars back on the schedule, Monday's episode of The Voice did suffer a modest hit in the key demo. Facing off against two hours of the ABC competition, the series was down three-tenths of a point from the previous episodes — averaging a 2.8 rating with adults 18-49, once again making it the night's dominant series.
Dancing With the Stars, which hit a premiere low in live-plus-same day returns with a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49, emerged as the night's victor with total viewers. It averaged 12.4 million to The Voice's 10.99 million. Compared to the previous two premieres, fall and spring of 2015, Dancing With the Stars was down three-tenths of a point in the key demo.
The 10 p.m. hour went to an even Blindspot, which outperformed similarly flat episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles (1.3 adults) on CBS and Castle (1.1 adults) on ABC.
Elsewhere on the dial, there was almost no movement from the prior Monday. Supergirl and Gotham were again evenly matched on CBS and Fox, each averaging a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. Scorpion scored a steady 1.5 rating in the key demo at 9 o'clock, while Lucifer pulled another 1.2 rating.
On the CW, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (0.2 adults) and Jane the Virgin (0.3 adults) were steady.
