Series regulars Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock and Cheyenne Jackson were confirmed to return for the next season.
The cast and creator’s of American Horror Story: Hotel hit the stage Sunday night to close PaleyFest 2016.
While the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk FX anthology series typically uses the PaleyFest stage to announce the new season's theme and returning/new cast additions, news was in short supply Sunday as producers continue to work out what the previously announced sixth season will be.
Murphy declined to provide further details about either idea.
What originally started as a complete and total reboot, as American Horror Story ages the series has started to overlap. That has included multiple characters returning to reprise roles from previous seasons as an interconnected franchise begins to take shape.
“It’s a definite universe where all the worlds are colliding,” Murphy said. “I would love more and more of that as we go along.”
Little is known about season six of AHS. Season five star Lady Gaga said this month that she would return to the anthology and Bassett has done the same.
