See what Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers had to say about the Netflix reboot.
After almost 20 years off the air, Netflix rebooted beloved '90s family show Full House as Fuller House on Feb. 26. Just five days later, the series was renewed for a second season, to the delight of John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure and the rest of the Tanner-Fuller clan.
And just hours after that, late-night television fell in love with the show.
All week long, late-night hosts have been all over Fuller House, whether the show's stars were on the episode or not. Stephen Colbert aired a "gritty" idea for a Full House reboot, Jimmy Fallon released his Full House-inspired theme song and Seth Meyers took John Stamos through a painful exercise featuring not-so-great reviews of the show (including a review from The Hollywood Reporter).
Below are some of those Fuller House moments from this week on late-night TV.
Stephen Colbert Reimagines Full House as Cop Drama
Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and John Stamos appeared on The Late Show on Wednesday to talk to Colbert about his "gritty" Full House reboot, which Coulier describes as "adult, roommate detectives who have seen a little bit too much." Colbert airs a "clip" that even features a new theme song for the faux series.
Full House Nights stars the "Full House Daddies" (Saget, Coulier and Stamos) who interrogate a costumed Colbert, in a "good cop/bad cop/impressionist cop" scenario.
Jimmy Fallon Makes His Own TGIF Theme Song
Jimmy Fallon is all about '90s reboots, having already reimagined Saved by the Bell and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Now he's gone a step further, creating his own Tonight Show theme song with TGIF theme writer Jesse Frederick, the man behind the themes to Full House, Family Matters and Step by Step.
The video, which aired during Fallon's episode Thursday, appears to have been shot on the Fuller House set, with a rundown of introductions: Fallon laughing at the camera at the bottom of the stairs, Steve Higgins hanging a photo of himself (in the exact same outfit he's now wearing) and Questlove playing drums in the living room holding a spatula, in a Hawaiian T-shirt.
Watch Seth Meyers Read Brutal Fuller House Reviews (Including THR's) to John Stamos
John Stamos appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday only to face some not-so-great reviews about Fuller House. Meyers started with THR's review, in which Daniel Fienberg said, "It's doubtful that there will be a more painful 2016 TV episode than the Fuller House pilot."
Stamos was a good sport about the exercise, responding in kind: "You'll love episode two, Daniel!"
