The country music-themed network has also renewed 'I Love Kellie Pickler' and set premiere dates for a few series.

CMT used its upfront presentation Thursday to announce that it plans to double its original programming — including music events and documentaries — as well as set the cast for its scripted series Million Dollar Quartet.

The Viacom-owned cable network has also renewed its Ryan Seacrest-produced docuseries I Love Kellie Pickler for a second season, set music event Concert of the Summer and set premiere dates for scripted comedy Still the King (June 12 at 9 p.m.) and The Dude Perfect Show (April 14 at 9 p.m.).

Following a nationwide casting call held at Elvis Presley's high school in Memphis, Drake Milligan (who played Elvis in 2014 short Nobody) has been tapped to star as The King in musical Million Dollar Quartet. Additionally, Kevin Fonteyne (Masters of Sex) is set as Johnny Cash; twins Christian Lees (Tale of Tales) and Jonah Lees will play cousins Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart, respectively. The series will premiere in November, with additional castings to be announced in the coming months.
