THR examines who could have killed Charlotte and may be targeting the Liars.

Another one bit the dust this season on Pretty Little Liars, but this time “A” wasn’t behind it — she was the victim.

Charlotte DiLaurentis was murdered in the midseason premiere, and Rosewood has been abuzz about whodunnit ever since. So far, a few shady characters have emerged as prime suspects — including Ezra Fitz and Sara Harvey — but they aren’t the only ones who should be looked into.

Below, The Hollywood Reporter theorizes six people who could have killed Charlotte, and in turn, who may be potentially targeting the Liars as the next big bad.

Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding)

Ezra was very affected by the tragic kidnapping of his girlfriend, Nicole (Rebecca Breeds), and has been on a downward spiral into alcoholism with some serious rage problems. He recently screamed at the Liars when they suggested he may have been a part of the murder, and has had generally shifty behavior since he returned to Rosewood. His love for Aria (Lucy Hale) could have caused him to murder Charlotte, her tormenter, and he also had access to Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) paper detailing the methods of the murder. But he could also just be a red herring again.

Sara Harvey (Dre Davis)

Sara may have worked for Charlotte, but that doesn’t mean she was happy about it. If she was “brainwashed” by Charlotte, she could have killed her for revenge, or she could be trying to be the next “A” by framing the Liars for Charlotte’s murder. Either way, she’s been acting very sketchy, stalking Emily (Shay Mitchell). She also has a vendetta against the girls because she got electrocuted by the bomb in the dollhouse and cannot use her hands now.

Wren Kingston (Julian Morris)

Wren always seemed very suspicious, and even though he hasn’t been on the show for a while — actor Morris has been busy with other projects — his girlfriend, Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto), is back in Rosewood and could be helping with his grand plan. He was an “A” suspect for a long time and was apparently innocent then, but he could be now tormenting the Liars after killing off Charlotte. If so, the other biggest question is, who is his next victim?

Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale)

Aria was the only one to reveal her true feelings about Charlotte during the trial, and those emotions from the past five years could have caused her to kill her former tormenter. She could have even teamed up with Ezra, Bonnie and Clyde-style. It’s unlikely that she’s this season’s big bad, but it could happen — a lot can change in five years.

Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish)

Mona has been mysteriously MIA since Charlotte’s death. Could she have taken the game back from “A” after she was unmasked? Even though she had a change of heart during Charlotte’s trial, that could have all been an act. Mona is known for being very sneaky and double-crossing, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if she was after the Liars again.

Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson)

Hanna claimed that she saw Aria sneak out in the middle of the night and was quick to delete security footage of Aria and Ezra at The Radley, but what if she was just using them to cover up her own tracks? After she saw Aria leave, she could have snuck out too, and then deleted footage of herself at the same time. She also went to Lucas (Brendan Robinson) to be her fake alibi, which only paints her as more suspicious.

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
