Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have NOT “called it quits,” despite a report from one of the tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim.

The allegation can be found in the pages of Star, which says Watts has “quietly called it quits on her decade-long love affair with the rough-edged ‘Ray Donovan’ star.” The magazine blames Schreiber’s “mercurial mood swings and terrible temper” for the supposed split. An alleged “source” is quoted as saying, “Naomi realized she couldn’t live her life constantly treading on eggshells,” and calls Schreiber “not an easy man to live with.”

The outlet goes on to point out that Schreiber attended the Golden Globes last month solo, and claims the breakup actually took place “one week after they began shooting The Breeder in November.” And yet, right after this story hit newsstands, Watts joined her longtime partner at the SAG Awards this past Saturday (see above). In fact, after Schreiber and his Spotlight co-stars won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, he tweeted a celebratory photo of himself and Watts posing with his trophy (see below).

In the last two weeks, they’ve also been seen attending a Knicks game and a Kung Fu Panda 3 screening with their kids. Furthermore, reps for both both Watts and Schreiber are denying a breakup. Of course, the split claim is coming from the same tabloid that said the couple was set to adopt a baby girl in 2013. Maybe it’s time Star “called it quits” on “reporting” about stars.
