'Will & Grace' alum Adam Barr will pen the script for 'Me & Mean Margaret.'
NBC is ready to turn the tables on actors.
The network has greenlit comedy pilot Me & Mean Margaret, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The multicamera comedy is described as an unlikely buddy comedy that follows a fiercely candid and often offensive legendary actress and the ambitious 27-year-old lawyer forced to babysit her.
Will & Grace alum Adam Barr will pen the script and exec produce the Universal Television comedy alongside Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin.
This marks NBC's 15th comedy pilot order of the season — up one from a year ago — as network topper Bob Greenblatt continues to put an emphasis on the genre. Of those, six are multicamera entries (off one from a year ago).
