Nancy Lesser is moving up at HBO.
The premium cable channel has promoted the network vet to executive vice president of media and talent relations. As part of her new role, Lesser will now oversee all program publicity efforts for HBO's drama and comedy series, original movies, miniseries and specials.
Lesser, who was most recently held the position of senior vice president of media and talent relations, has been at HBO for 31 years. She started in the New York offices before she moved to Los Angeles to run the West Coast media relations department, later adding oversight of the talent relations department to her responsibilities.
The news of the promotion comes two weeks after an executive shuffle at the network that saw drama head Michael Ellenberg exit and comedy exec Casey Bloys's purview expanded to include all HBO series, late night and specials. Lesser will continue to report to executive vice president of corporate communications Quentin Schaffer.
