Action-drama 'Time' hails from 'The Blacklist' producers John Davis and John Fox and marks the 'Supernatural' creator's first project for SPT.
NBC is making good Time.
The network on Thursday handed out a formal pilot pickup to drama Time, from an all-star combination of Shawn Ryan, Eric Kripke, John Davis and John Fox, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
This high-octane drama follows an unlikely trio who travel through time to battle a master criminal intent on altering the fabric of human history with potentially catastrophic results.
Ryan (The Shield, Terriers) and Kripke (Supernatural) will pen the script and exec produce alongside The Blacklist producers Davis and Fox. Marney Hochman is set to exec produce the drama. Time hails from Sony Pictures Television, where Ryan, Kripke and Davis/Fox's Davis Entertainment are based.
The drama was among the buzziest scripts heading into the start of pilot season and received a sizable pilot-production commitment from NBC back in August. The drama marks Kripke's first sale since moving over to SPT. Ryan, meanwhile, next has Amazon's Mad Dogs. For Davis, meanwhile, the drama marks his latest series for NBC following The Blacklist and since-canceled The Player. He's also an EP on ABC's Dr. Ken.
For NBC, meanwhile, Time marks the network's latest drama pilot pickup. The network also is fast-tracking Chicago PD spinoff Chicago Law, has a Taken reboot picked up straight to series and is redeveloping guardian angel drama Unveiled from last season.
