Ticktock! Saoirse Ronan was delayed backstage at the 22nd Annual SAG Awards on Saturday, January 30, but managed to joke about the incident.
The Brooklyn actress, 21, didn't appear for about five seconds as music played to an empty stage after the announcer called her name. Ronan then suddenly took to the podium to present the SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, which Idris Elba won.

Somewhat flustered, the Irish actress joked: "That didn't go well! I was having my water backstage, having a great time looking at Straight Outta Compton. Emmmm, anyway! Hi, gang."
Ronan looked runway-ready for the occasion in a sleeved, blush, floral-embroidered gown by Michael Kors Collection. In addition to being a presenter, Ronan was also nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Brooklyn.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Ronan joked about her character's love triangle in the flick. "Well, it’s very confusing. That’s for sure," she told Us. "It adds a bit of drama to the story and they were played by two terrific actors, who are lovely guys, so it was a pleasure."
