Lamar Odom never lived in Khloe Kardashian’s home after leaving the hospital, despite a slew of made-up stories. On Tuesday, it emerged that Kardashian rented a home near her house for Odom, which has now left an untrustworthy blog creating more fibs to cover up its initial lie about Kardashian and Odom having lived together following his hospitalization.

HollywoodLife, a webloid that has rightfully earned the nickname “HollywoodLies” for its repeated fabrications, published story after story in January about Odom living in Kardashian’s home, and how she cared for him. In one article dated January 11, the blog wrote, “Just when reports said that Khloe Kardashian, 31, had secretly moved Lamar Odom, 36, to a rehab facility upon being released from the hospital on Jan. 6, sources EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com that she instead moved him to her own home for his post-hospital care.” Naturally, the disreputable webloid had one of its seemingly fictitious sources try to bolster its bogus scenario by saying, “Khloe’s literally turn her home into a sanctuary and healing center for Lamar… it’s the best decision she could have made.”

But fabricating how Odom was living with Kardashian wasn’t good enough for just one story. As the webloid is wont to do (before being exposed for its fibs), it published more articles with the same untrue premise. On January 12, for instance, HollywoodLies wrote, “Khloe insisted that her former husband move in with her so she can look after his health after he was recently released from the hospital.” The unreliable blog, once again, then quoted one of its untraceable (and possibly nonexistent) sources as saying Kardashian’s boyfriend James Harden was “concerned that by Lamar and Khloe spending so much time together and living under the same roof – old sparks can ignite.”

But not one of these scenarios and claims were true. Odom never lived with Kardashian after being released from the hospital, nor was her boyfriend worried about “old sparks” reigniting between the two estranged spouses allegedly “living under the same roof.” These were untruths from a webloid that has earned a reputation for making up stories and “source” quotes. And it all blew up in HollywoodLife’s face when TMZ reported on Tuesday that Odom was now “living next to Khloe,” thanks to the reality star leasing a home for him near her own house in Calabasa, California.

So, what did the webloid do when it was caught once again in a blatant lie? Instead of apologizing for or admitting to fabricating multiple stories, the site told yet another tall tale, claiming Odom was “furious that Khloe Kardashian moved him out of her house.” And, of course, that was followed by a fake quote from a presumably fake “source,” who explained away the weeks of made-up stories by saying Harden didn’t like Odom living with his girlfriend. “Khloe thought about it for several weeks and decided James was right and made the move to boot Lamar from her house,” the so-called “source” noted on the exact day that it merged Kardashian had rented her estranged husband a home near her.

Sadly, these type of manufactured stories from HollywoodLife have become more and more prevalent. And the issue is larger than whether Kardashian had Odom living in her home, which she didn’t. It’s a matter of how the Gossip Cop and the rest of the Internet can better police sites that become Houses Of Lies.
