The network also has handed out a pilot order to tech cop drama 'A.P.B.,' from Len Wiseman.
Fox is continuing to explore the procedural this pilot season, ordering a pair of dramas from prolific producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec as well as Len Wiseman.
Picked up to pilot at the network are Recon, a drama reuniting Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) and written by The CW drama's current showrunner, Caroline Dries, and A.P.B., from Sleepy Hollow alum Len Wiseman.
Recon, from Warner Bros. Television — where Williamson and Plec are based — centers on a rookie FBI agent who embeds herself in a suspected terrorist family. Dries will pen the script and exec produce alongside Plec and Williamson. The drama hails from Williamson's Outerbanks Entertainment banner. It marks a reunion for The Vampire Diaries team — Plec originally stared her career as Williamson's head of development.
Should Recon go to series, it would join Plec's Vampire Diaries and spinoff The Originals as well as Containment, should The CW renew the latter trio.
A.P.B., meanwhile, hails from 20th Century Fox Television, where Wiseman (Lucifer) is under an overall deal. David Slack (Person of Interest) will pen the script and exec produce the drama about a tech billionaire who purchases a troubled police precinct in the wake of a loved one’s murder. He uses a cutting-edge approach to fix the broken ways of these blue- blooded veterans. The drama is based on the New York Times story "Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans?"
The pilot orders join Fox's previously announced 24: Legacy, Prison Break, The Exorcist, Pitch, Shots Fired and its untitled Lee Daniels music drama.
