Kevin Spacey Channels Frank Underwood in CNN Election Doc Series Trailer

The 'House of Cards' star is producing and narrating the six-part 'Race for the White House.'

The line where Kevin Spacey ends and his House of Cards alter ego begins is starting to fade. And the actor-producer goes full-on Frank Underwood in the trailer for his new CNN doc series.

This first look at Race for the White House's includes Spacey, who also narrates the series, snarling about some of the more contentious elections in U.S. history. The real star, however, might be Ragin' Cajun James Carville. The talking head just drops a "son of a bitch" out of nowhere.

A six-part series, Race for the White House comes after months of election-related ratings boosts for CNN and the rest of cable news. It hails from Spacey and Dana Brunetti. The newly tapped Relativity Media leads produced the project under their Trigger Street Productions banner.

Race for the White House premieres Sunday, Mar. 6, at 9 p.m.
