Tom Cruise and Cheryl Burke did NOT exchange numbers at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards earlier this month, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. We’re told it’s “not true.”
The new issue of Star alleges Cruise was “dancing on air after being introduced” to the former “Dancing with the Stars” pro at the Las Vegas event. The magazine claims he “spotted” Burke “from across the room and made a beeline” right for her. “They really hit it off,” a so-called “source” alleges.
“Cheryl even offered to give Tom some private lessons,” continues the supposed snitch. “And Tom teased that they should learn to tango. There was so much sexual tension.” The story goes on to claim “the pair swapped numbers — with plans to partner up on and off the dance floor — before the night was over.”
Sounds juicy, but don’t expect to see Cruise in the ballroom with Burke anytime soon. A rep for the pro dancer exclusively tells Gossip Cop that not only is the Star “swapped numbers” story “not true,” but that Burke and Cruise actually “never spoke.” Oops?
