Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard performed “This Christmas” on Wednesday’s “Taraji and Terrence’s White Hot Holidays” special. Watch below!
FOX announced last month that Henson and Howard would co-host a music and variety special in celebration of the holiday season. The actors are longtime friends, having previously starred together in Hustle & Flow. Of course, they’re currently best known for playing feuding exes Cookie and Lucious on FOX’s hit series, “Empire.”
Henson and Howard kicked off their program with a special duet of “This Christmas.” The co-stars broke song to tout some of the evening’s special guests, noting that they’d be celebrating “this Christmas.” Henson then said Beyoncé and Adele would also be there… “next Christmas.”
Afterward, Howard joked that they were like Sonny and Cher… or Ike and Tina. Henson then led Howard to believe he was getting a hoverboard as a Christmas gift, but it ended up being a “Hotline Bling” sweater. Howard, however, topped that with a puppy… named Terrence.
As Gossip Cop reported, the fall finale of “Empire” aired last week. Ironically, the “White Hot Holidays” special now aired on the same day the series was snubbed by the SAG Awards and shut out of the television categories. On Thursday morning, however, it will be revealed whether the show scored any Golden Globes nominations.
