Showtime is ringing in 2016 with a special treat.

The pay cabler will offer the series premiere of new Wall Street drama Billions, starring Homeland's Damian Lewis and Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti, and the season six premiere of family dramedy Shameless beginning Jan. 1.

Viewers will be able to sample the episodes for free on YouTube, Facebook and on Showtime's official website, SHO.com, as well as streaming services including Hulu, Roku and PlayStation Vue. They will both also be available for download as video podcasts on iTunes, and via a number of television providers' free On Demand channels and websites.

Showtime subscribers will also be able to watch the series and season premieres, respectively, on Showtime Anytime, the network's stand-alone streaming service.

The digital sneak peek comes nine days ahead of Shameless' return on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 9 p.m., and more than two weeks before Billions premieres on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. Showtime has used the same strategy in the past, allowing viewers an early look at the series of The Affair in 2014.

Billions, set in the Manhattan world of high finance, tells a contemporary tale of power politics. The hourlong drama will track the impending collision between two titanic figures: the hard-charging, politically savvy U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti), and the ambitious, brilliant hedge fund king Bobby "Axe" Axelrod (Lewis). Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad also star.

The series is written and executive produced by Rounders' Brian Koppelman and David Levien along with The New York Times' Andrew Ross Sorkin and director Neil Burger (Divergent), who helmed the pilot.

Shameless is coming off of its first Emmy win for guest actress Joan Cusack. Star William H. Macy also took home his first Screen Actors Guild Award for his role earlier this year.
