Dolly Parton is getting called back for an encore.
The NBC TV movie based on the legendary country singer's life, Coat of Many Colors, will air again on Christmas Day at 9 p.m., it was announced Wednesday.
The scheduling announcement comes less than a week after the film opened to impressive numbers, drawing a 2.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 15.6 million viewers in live-plus-three numbers.
Coat of Many Colors ranks as the highest-rated telepic on the four broadcast networks in more than four years.
NBC has been known to polish off successful specials for a second viewing. This Saturday, the network will air The Wiz Live! again after its big Dec. 3 premiere.
