Missy Elliott performed “WTF” on Tuesday’s season finale of “The Voice,” joined by Pharrell. Watch below!

Elliott dropped “WTF,” which stands for “Where They From,” in November as the lead single from her upcoming seventh album. That was months after the rapper denied a joint song would be released immiently. It ended up being worth the wait, as the track and its creative music video (with puppets!) became an Internet sensation.

Elliott is in the mist of a huge comeback that began in February, when she performed with Katy Perry at the Super Bowl. In the months since, there’s been a clamoring among fans for a full-fledged return. Her iconic music career was recognized just last week when she received the inaugural Innovator of the Year award at the Billboard “Women In Music” event.

Elliott brought some of that innovation to “The Voice” earlier this season as she served as a mentor for Team Pharrell. The star even memorably teared up during one rehearsal as she found herself so moved by the contestants’ singing. And while none of Pharrell’s artists made it into the finale, his duet with Elliott still gave him a big role in the final show of the year, particularly as this marked the first time they performed “WTF” live.

And the puppets were involved! Check out the full video below!
