Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of Philippines was crowned the 2015 Miss Universe pageant winner on Sunday, but not without controversy. The wrong winner was announced first and even crowned. See video below.

Wutzbach beat out 79 other contestants from around the world to win Miss Universe, previously held by Miss Columbia Paulina Vega. The event aired live on FOX from Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino, and was hosted by Steve Harvey and Roselyn Sanchez. Do you agree with this year’s selection of Miss Universe?

Charlie Puth, The Band Perry, and Seal gave musical performances during the Miss Universe pageant. And Emmitt Smith, Niece Nash, and Olivia Culpo, a former Miss Universe herself, served as the judges, who evaluated the 80 Miss Universe 2015 pageant contestants from everywhere around the world in the swimsuit, evening gown, and interview competitions. Olivia Jordan of Tulsa, Oklahoma represented the United States as Miss USA.

Before the live show aired, the 80 contestants were narrowed down to 15 semi-finalists. Those women were Miss Brazil (Marthina Brandt), Miss Australia (Monika Radulovic), Miss Indonesia (Anindya Kusuma Putri), Dominican Republic (Clarissa Molina), Miss Philippines (Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach), Miss France (Flora Coquerel), Miss USA (Olivia Jordan), Miss Curacao (Kanisha Sluis), Miss Belgium (Annelies Toros), Miss Japan (Ariana Miyamoto), Miss Venezuela (Mariana Jimenez), Miss South Africa (Refilwe Mthimunye), Miss Colombia (Ariadna Gutierrez), Miss Mexico (Wendy Esparza), and Miss Thailand (Aniporn Chalerburanawong).

Following the swimsuit contest, the field was whittled down to 10 contestants. They were Miss USA, Miss Colombia, Miss Japan, Miss Thailand, Miss Australia, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss France, Miss Curacao, Miss Philippines, and Miss Venezuela.

The contestant pool got even smaller after the evening gown competition, after which the remaining five were Miss France, Miss Colombia, Miss Philippines, Miss Australia, and Miss USA. And following the interview, it was just Miss USA, Miss Colombia, and Miss Philippines.

Before the Miss Universe 2015 winner was announced, it was revealed the second runner-up was Miss USA. It was then came down to Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia, and the 2105 Miss Universe is Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach Of Philippines. But Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia won. He then realized he was wrong, and apologized, “I will take responsibility. It was my mistake,” adding, “Please don’t hold it against the ladies.” Below is video of Ariadna Gutierrez first being crowned, and then Wurtzbach actually winning Miss Universe.
