Kanye West dropped a new song “Facts” on New Year’s Eve. He actually released a “clean” and an “explicit” version. Listen to the single below.
The news of West releasing the new track was first revealed when his wife Kim Kardashian tweeted, “YEEZY YEEZY YEEZY NEW SONG ABOUT TO DROP #FACTS.” Releasing new music on New Year’s Eve has become somewhat of a tradition for West. Last year on New Year’s Eve he dropped the single “Only One,” which featured backup vocals and piano accompaniment by Paul McCartney. That beautiful slow ballad was written from the perspective of West’s mother Donda, and is about his late mother and daughter North.
In the past year, often without any advance notice, West has released a number of new (and re-worked old) songs, including “When I See It” And “Say You Will.” And while it’s unclear which songs will and won’t make his new album Swish, it seems his track “Wolves,” which he recorded with Sia and Vic Mensa, will make the cut.
Additionally, West’s song “Awesome,” a ballad to Kardashian, leaked in 2015, while he also released the track “All Day,” which repeated the N-word over and over.
