Kate Middleton is NOT “starving herself to death,” despite a sensational new report. Gossip Cop can bust the story. We’re told it’s not worth commenting on, except to assure concerned fans that the Duchess of Cambridge is absolutely fine.

Inside the new issue of the National Enquirer, it’s claimed there is “panic at the Palace” as Middleton’s “weight plummets to 98 pounds” amid fears she’s “anorexic.” The supermarket tabloid alleges Prince William’s wife is “starving herself in a misguided attempt to achieve the ‘perfect royal body.'” One so-called “source” calls Middleton’s health “alarming,” and says the family has “deep concerns” for her well-being.

“Kate wants to have the perfect body; it’s especially important to her since Charlotte was born,” the supposed “source” claims. “She just won’t accept that her body is never going to be where it was before she had her son George in 2013 and now Charlotte.”

The National Enquirer describes Middleton as “gaunt” and “dangerously skinny,” and even goes as far as quoting a doctor who has NEVER treated the princess, let alone even met her, as speculating that her condition could be “lethal.” And a nutritionist, who also has never had any interaction with Middleton, goes on and on about how she’s “wasting away.” The outlet’s own snitch even calls Middleton “delusional.”

But it seems it’s the folks at the National Enquirer who are loopy. Because not only did the tabloid run a similar piece last month, but it’s also run countless alarmist weight stories just like this about Angelina Jolie. Each and every one turns out to be untrue, and yet the outlet keeps expecting readers to fall for the near-death claims.

It’s actually disturbing how casually the National Enquirer runs these pieces, filled with fake concern and mock outrage. And then the magazine takes no responsibility for sensationally spreading extremely serious misinformation. Now that’s delusional.
