The cast of “Empire” gave an epic performance of “Joy To The World” and “All You Need Is Love” on “Taraji And Terrence’s White Hot Holidays” special on Thursday. Check out the video below!
Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard co-hosted the hour-long music and variety special for FOX. They were joined by a number of big celebrities, including Patti LaBelle, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, and Chris Brown. But, of course, Jussie Smollett and Yazz The Greatest were two more big reasons to tune in.
Smollett began by singing a slow-tempo version of “Joy To The World.” When the beat picked up, he was then joined by Henson and Howard. Yazz (also known as Bryshere Y. Gray and Yazz B) kicked off a rap portion from the audience, before making his way to the stage to be with his co-stars.
When the performance ended, Howard shouted, “As I said before, to the Empire!” Smollett and Yazz later took the stage again for the finale performance of “All You Need Is Love,” which also included will.i.am and Blige. That will have to hold fans over until “Empire” returns for the second half of season 2 on March 30. Check out video of both performances below!
