Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani are NOT in a “feud” over their future on “The Voice,” despite a report. Gossip Cop can easily debunk the claim.
According to RadarOnline, Stefani and Blake Shelton’s “romance is going to hit a major road bump soon when their time together on the set of ‘The Voice’ comes to end” because Aguilera “is determined to come back next season no matter what.” The site claims Aguilera “demanded a return, and the producers were unable to keep the new romance going on the air.”
“Christina said that it was her show and gave a really big spiel about how she thinks that Gwen used this Blake thing to try and stay on the show,” a so-called “production source” alleges to the webloid. “Now people are dreading her return.”
Well, this “production source” is either made up or utterly clueless, because the timing of this story is totally off. First off, Stefani and Shelton’s “time together on the set” has already come to an end. With last week’s season finale, production has wrapped for the rest of the year.
Second, and more importantly, Aguilera has already made her “return.” The blind auditions for the new season were filmed this fall, with the former coach back in her usual red chair. Shelton and Stefani’s relationship had no bearing on it, and will continue to have no bearing on Aguilera’s involvement as the season resumes production in the new year.
Gossip Cop previously corrected a false story claiming Stefani could replace Aguilera, and also busted a report that similarly alleged they were “feuding.” The pair are actually longtime friends, and Aguilera has expressed support for her pals’ blossoming connection. Too bad RadarOnline isn’t supportive, and accurate, too.
