Bradley Cooper: Beyoncé NOT Starring In “A Star Is Born” Remake

Beyonce Not Starring Born Remake

(New York Post)

Beyoncé is NOT starring in the A Star Is Born remake, despite a report. Director and lead actor Bradley Cooper shoots down the claim in a new interview.

On Friday, the New York Post announced Beyoncé was “on board to star” alongside Cooper in his directorial debut. One so-called “source” was quoted as saying, “Beyoncé is a go.” But according to Cooper, that’s just not true.

“Just a rumor,” he tells E! News, further revealing he and Beyoncé haven’t even discussed the project. That said, Cooper does admit, “I would be honored, obviously, to work with her in any capacity.”

Beyoncé was first linked to A Star Is Born when Clint Eastwood was slated to direct in 2011. As Gossip Cop reported, though, the production was said to be delayed after the superstar announced her pregnancy later that year. Then, in 2012, it was said Beyoncé had dropped out of the project entirely due to scheduling issues.

Eastwood himself ultimately ditched the plans, too. Cooper’s involvement as director, producer, and likely star was first confirmed in March of 2015. No timetable has been announced for the shoot and it seems without Beyoncé, Cooper still needs to find a leading lady. Gossip Cop will have updates.
