The CBS drama holds in the demo, while NBC enjoys another victory lap at the top of the week.
Good news for Supergirl. After two weeks of post-premiere drops for CBS' big fall swing, the drama seems to have come down to cruising altitude. The fourth episode of Supergirl averaged a steady 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 on Monday, actually a slight improvement from the previous outing.
This comes just a couple days after Supergirl just saw its first live-plus-7 day ratings come in. The lofty premiere (3.1 adults) rose 42 percent with the extra week of DVR to a 4.4 rating. That's nothing to turn one's nose up at — it stands as the No. 2 show of that Empire-free broadcast week — but it's a comparatively small boost for a drama. Hour-long series typically recoup the most viewers with time-shifting, so Supergirl will have to improve its improvement to stay on top of the network's Monday block.
Speaking of which, Scorpion shed two-tenths of a point after Supergirl for an average 1.6 rating with adults 18-49, while NCIS: Los Angeles (1.2 adults) held steady.
The real winner of the night, naturally, was The Voice. With a stable 3.1 rating among adults 18-49, and partnered with an equally steady Blindspot (2.3 adults) at 10 o'clock, it helped NBC easily top the night in the key demo.
Dancing With the Stars dropped two-tenths of a point on ABC for an average 1.9 rating among adults 18-49, and Castle (1.1 adults) held even. Over on Fox, Gotham (1.6 adults) and Minority Report (0.7 adults) were similarly steady.
The CW had NFL preemptions in Houston, so scores for Crazy Ex Girlfriend (0.4 adults) and Jane the Virgin (0.5 adults) are tentative and subject to likely downward adjustment.
