Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy didn’t dance live because she was still in the hospital during the live show, and so they showed a taped rehearsal of their contemporary dance to James Vincent McMorrow’s “Wicked Game” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” And as a result, it didn’t have the energy of a live performance, which resulted in lower scores. Watch the video below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Braxton was hospitalized before “Dancing with The Stars” with pneumonia, and it’s unclear if, at this point, she’ll make it in time for any of the show. Last week, Braxton got a 28 out of 30 for her paso doble to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” on “Icons” night.

Because the judges watched a tape, Braxton suffered with her scores. Bruno Tonioli said, “It could have been amazing, but there were a lot of mistakes.” Playing off the song’s title, Carrie Ann Inaba felt, “It was a wicked shame because she’s a brilliant performer, and she would have brought it alive.” And Juliane Hough similarly noted the concept was good, and “I’m sure she would have brought it, but it looked like a dress rehearsal.”

So, how did Braxton and Chmerkovskiy’s taped rehearsal of their contemporary dance do? They received only 22 out 30 from the judges.
