Stars are reacting to the Kansas City Royals winning the 2015 World Series, beating the New York Mets. There’s a number of celebrity fans for both teams, as well as celebs who appreciated the series regardless. Now they’re all taking to social media to share their reactions to how it all played out.

“I’m very happy for my hometown of Kansas City,” tweeted Eric Stonestreet. “I wish I could be there to celebrate with you all. The @Royals and fans are all [love].” As Gossip Cop reported, he and Jimmy Kimmel had made a World Series bet, in which the loser will have to be pelted with paintballs while in a bounce house. Knowing full well what’s now ahead, the host tweeted after the game ended, “Thanks for a great season @Mets – Congrats to the @Royals and a pox on @ericstonestreet.”

Andy Cohen, who saw his beloved St. Louis Cardinals lose early on in the playoffs, posted on Twitter, “.@Royals #TakeTheCrown!!!!! What a team! what a season! what a state! #MissouriPride.” Alec Baldwin also focused on the locale, tweeting, “Congratulations Kansas City…” And Don Cheadle saw fit to honor both sides, writing, “Good series, #Mets! Congrats, #Royals!!” Joshua Malina similarly said, “Congrats, KC. Great season, @Mets.”

Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen wanted to know, “I need to know what happens to the loser shirts post World Series.” But Mark Salling just didn’t care regardless. “Can I just say that someone just won the World Series and it feels like no one gives af,” tweeted the actor, adding the hashtags, “#BaseballisBoring #SorryNotSorry #IHaveAdd.”

“Happy for The @Royals and their fans. 30 years is a long time to wait,” posted Donnie Wahlberg. “Next year’ll be 30 for the @Mets but I believe the @RedSox got next!” Tim McGraw remarked, “Love the @Mets Congrats to @Royals Gotta admire way they rallied in L8 innings. Essence of #YaGottaBelieve @Mets in 2016!!!” Kevin Connolly even admitted, “As much as I’m a die hard Yankee fan for life, I feel for the Mets and their fans…. Heads up Mets fans… Great season!!!!!”

Retired Met Mike Piazza posted, “Congratulations to @Royals, inspiring to watch a team battle like that, @Mets have much to be proud of, Great season, God Bless #LGM.” On the Royals side, perhaps no one was more excited than Paul Rudd, who actually got to celebrate with the team afterward (see photo above).
