Pentatonix paid a musical homage to Star Wars at Sunday’s American Music Awards. Watch the video below!

The a cappella group, which won Season 3 of the reality competition show “The Sing-Off,” is best known for vocalized arrangements of hit pop songs. Along with a full orchestra, a costumed Pentatonix celebrated the release of the upcoming Star Wars sequel, The Force Awakens, by harmonizing John Williams’ iconic film score. The performance was introduced by Han Solo himself, otherwise known as Harrison Ford, after a first-look at a scene from the new movie.

The members of Pentatonix have said in various interviews that they’re huge fans of the classic sci-fi series, in addition to being general movie buffs. The group made a cameo appearance earlier this year in the a cappella-themed comedy Pitch Perfect 2. Interestingly, Pitch Perfect 2 won Favorite Soundtrack earlier in the night.

Last month, Pentatonix released a self-titled album, their first to feature original songs and not covers. The album broke records by debuting at number one on the Billboard charts, the first a cappella record to ever reach the top of the charts. Now the Star Wars tribute comes in advance of the highly-anticipated Force Awakens hitting theaters on December 18. Check out video of the AMAs performance below!
