Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s marriage is not “crumbling,” despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this story. We’re told it’s simply “ridiculous.”
According to Star, Richie is very suspicious that her husband is being unfaithful. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Nicole is convinced he has cheated on her, and he flat out denies it and accuses her of being paranoid.” The magazine’s questionable “insider” further alleges that Madden has a drinking problem, and his supposed all-night partying “fuels her fears that he’s fooling around.”
The tabloid then goes on to say that Madden and Richie accuse one another of being a bad parent. The alleged “insider” claims, “Joel says Nicole sets a bad example for the kids by not eating properly, and she accuses him of being a bad father because of his drinking.” “Things have never been this bad. Friends will be very surprised if they make it another year,” says the unnamed “source.”
Star seemingly has it out for Richie and Madden. Gossip Cop has repeatedly corrected the tabloid for falsely asserting the couple is headed for a breakup. Most recently, we debunked the magazine’s fake story about the two being stuck in a “sexless and troubled marriage.” Prior to that, Gossip Cop busted various other stories claiming that Richie’s alleged anorexia was causing her marriage to fall apart.
And yet, Madden and Richie remain very much married. Like those previous tales from Star, a rep for the couple exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the tabloid’s latest claims about supposed marital problems are “ridiculous,” as they’ve always been.
