Mark Hood took on Justin Bieber for his powerful Live Playoffs performance on “The Voice” on Tuesday. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Hood’s Battle performance with Celeste Betton was actually called the “best” in the history of the NBC competition. He was declared the winner, and emerged victorious during the Knockouts, too. Now for his first live performance of the season, he opted to go with Bieber’s first-ever number one hit.

Did that bode well for the aspiring star? It sure did. In fact, Hood received a standing ovation not just from his coach Pharrell, but also Gwen Stefani. The No Doubt frontwoman told him, “I’m crying again, because he’s so good!”

“You’re one of my favorites because you have so much personality,” Stefani went on to tell Hood. “You’re so, so talented. It’s crazy. You can do anything. I love you.” Meanwhile, Blake Shelton was blinded by the stage lights, amusingly saying, “I know you did something awesome because the crowd was freaking out. I felt like I was listening to a Blind Audition because I had to close my eyes.”

Nonetheless, he was thoroughly impressed. And when it was Pharrell’s turn, he encouraged the crowd to give Hood another ovation. “Listen to that,” he told his artist. “That was unbelievable. Honestly, I know everyone at home is standing up… because what you just did was amazing.”

Pharrell added, “And you proved your name completely right. Mark, you are marked for this.” Watch the performance video below!
