Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian tried to be supportive of Caitlyn Jenner, while still being sensitive to Kris’s feelings, on Sunday’s season 11 premiere of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Get the full recap below!

The first episode of the new season was titled, “That Was Then, This Is Now.” Early on in the show, Caitlyn called Kim and invited her to come to the ESPY Awards, where Caitlyn would be receiving the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. Kim agreed that she would attend, and ask Khloe and Kourtney to come as well, despite the problems that still exist between Caitlyn and her mom. “I have to balance out both people and make everyone feel supported,” Kim said in a confessional.

Kris had a heart-to-heart with Kourtney to help her cope with her split from Scott Disick. She suggested Kourtney find someone to “bring light to your life,” but Kourtney insisted, “I don’t care about anybody. I just want to care for my kids.” Kourtney began crying, and Kris added, “It breaks my heart to see you in pain.”

Later on, a slimmed down Khloe told Kim, “Someone said to me the other day, ‘I looked at old pictures of you… You were so big.’ She adds, “Guys and girls say this to me. It’s like a known thing how fat I was.” Kim suggested that Khloe do a new photo shoot now that she has lost weight. “If you just do so many photo shoots, it will replace all the bad ones. What do you want out their on the Internet? Don’t you want to replace every bad image of you?”

Kim then revealed the big news that she convinced Complex magazine to put Khloe on the cover. “Don’t turn this down,” Kim insisted. However, Khloe isn’t particularly thrilled about posing. She said in a confessional, “I just can’t believe Kim went as far as contacting the Complex people. I appreciate the effort, but I am not like you, Kim. I’m not as comfortable baring my naked ass on a cover of a magazine. It’s just weird to do that.” But Kim told her sister to “seize the moment.”

The three Kardashian daughters broke the news to their mom that they would be attending the ESPYs to support Caitlyn. The girls decided to drop the news over the phone, and just one day before the event, however Kris reacted quite well to the bombshell. “I think that you showing up at all is amazing,” the matriarch said. “And I think that that’s nice because this is her moment.” The girls then offered to skip the after-party and have dinner with her afterwards, to “show support for her as well.”

Khloe then head her Complex photo shoot, which went very well and she wound up being happy that Kim talked her into doing it. After it was all over, Kim suggested she “pig out all night” and eat anything she wants to reward herself.

Later on, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney got dressed and headed for the ESPYs. However, the Jenner sisters got into quite the spat while getting ready because Kylie wouldn’t allow Kendall to borrow one of her dresses. “She can’t wear that,” Kylie told her assistant after noticing her outfit in Kendall’s bag. “That’s one of my favorite brown dresses. So just take it out of her bag. It’s not hers.”

The two sisters then engaged in a screaming match. “You’re just literally the biggest f*cking bitch I’ve ever met,” Kendall yelled at Kylie. She then turned to Kylie’s dogs and said, “I’m sorry your mom is such a c*nt.” After cooler heads prevailed, Kendall explained in a confessional, “It’s just annoying because this night is already stressful as it is. I really just want to show that we support our dad. So we don’t need to be fighting over outfits. I mean, maybe that’s why we’re fighting over something so stupid.” The two girls made up in time to walk the red carpet of the ESPYs together.

After the show, all five sisters went to dinner with Kris. Kris admitted that she had watched the awards show, and that Caitlyn “gave an amazing speech,” and was also “very brave” to speak up for the transgender community.
